The managing director of the Institute for Housing and Land in the Region of Murcia (IVS), Jane Brown, accompanied by the mayor of Cehegín, Jose Soria, today visited the rehabilitation works of the 79 homes that the regional government has in the municipality, an operation carried out thanks to the extraordinary provision under the Revitalization Plan launched in 2008 by the regional executive.
Works fall within the Repair Plan, which aims to rehabilitate the regional public park home, for which extra investments are arranged by a total of 1.8 million euros in more than 900 public housing Abarán, Caravaca, Cartagena, Cehegín, Cieza, Molina de Segura and Puerto Lumbreras.
In this regard, the managing director of IVS, noted that "Repair work on the Plan can improve the living conditions of the regional public park homes, which are inhabited by families in adverse conditions, while they create and maintain jobs in the region, sparking regional economic activity through the injection of public capital.
