The most prestigious literary competitions which convenes annually Cehegín City Council, received a total of 1,928 jobs, beating the record of participation last year stood at 1387. Specifically, for the XII Story Contest 'Salvador Garcia Jimenez' have received 1367 works, while to participate in the IX Prize for Poetry 'Fernando Gil Tudela' have arrived 561 poems.
The Councillor said that "these contests have far exceeded the expectations of the Department and is positioned as a cultural landmark of our region and the rest of the country when his great participation. The vast base of participation in both competitions is Spanish, but until Cehegín works from many other countries have also come, always written in Spanish, such as El Salvador, Guatemala, Bolivia, Colombia, Venezuela, Mexico, United States, Ecuador, Brazil, Israel, France, United Kingdom, Germany, Italy and Hungary, among others.
