They meet for the first time, the groups that make use of public mountains of Cehegín to coordinate their activities (17/09/2015)

Promoted by the Department of Forestry of the City of Cehegín, whose mayor is Maria Jose Martinez Verdugo and of Sports, headed by Joaquin Lopez Carreno, a meeting in which, for the first time, the groups have been present has taken place They make use of the public forests of Cehegín, in order to coordinate their activities throughout the year.

Besides the aforementioned councilors, this meeting was attended by the Forestry Engineers of the Ministry of Water, Agriculture and Environment of the Autonomous Community, both Service technicians Biodiversity, Hunting and Fishing River, Jose Antonio Martinez Garcia and David Sancho.

This Ministry also attended the Forest Engineer of Public Use, Jose Antonio Abellán.

By collective cehegineros, was the Society of Hunters of our town and its President Diego Fernandez April and its Secretary Alejandro Fernandez de Gea, and its treasurer, Jose Llamas Muñoz.

These, they were accompanied by the Vice President of the Spanish Federation of Hunting and Chairman of the Hunting Federation of the Region of Murcia, José Antonio Moreno Ruiz and the Federation coach, Manuel Cava Miñano.

They also had representation other groups: Miguel Angel Richarte, as manager and manager of the newly opened Park Active Tourism "Coto Wonderland";

Miguel Angel Gonzalez Conde, representing the club "Falco" and the group "Pladenat";

Antonio Maya, President of the Club MTB "The Simao" as well as representation ceheginero hiking group "Andapijo".

Farmers, José Ciller and Bartholomew Carmona Bernal, completed this first meeting, which was agreed by collective present, set a new date to carry out the initiatives proposed in this first contact.

Joaquin Lopez Carreño, Councillor for Sports, this meeting highlighted "the positive result of it, requiring that all these groups, supervised by management, are coordinated for the first time, to carry out different activities without interfering with each the others".

Maria Jose Martinez Verdugo, Councilman Montes holder, recalled "the beneficial role of forest land in the balance of nature. This meeting has served to administrations and different groups enjoy our forests while guaranteeing their care and respect is undoubtedly the main objective of all. "

We recall that Cehegín municipality is an eminently forest: more than 60% of its municipal term corresponds to mount (including forest, scrub, grassland and espartizales), ranking among the localities with the largest forest area in the Region of Murcia.

In addition, most of the forest area is publicly owned, with more than 10,000 hectares of public forest, especially municipal property.

Therefore, forest systems are of paramount importance in the natural heritage of Cehegín, treasuring a high ecological value, with a rich diversity of fauna and flora.
