The cehegineras Canara districts of Valentin, El Escobar, Algezares and El Cabezo held this weekend fiestas in honor of San Antonio Abad, popularly known as San Anton, the famous protector of animals.
Like every year around this time of winter, the residents of these rural areas gather around a few traditions in which no shortage of bonfires and 'castles' of firewood and the blessing of animals and pets.
