The lighting of the Christmas special lighting has marked this afternoon the start of the programming designed from the City of Cehegín for these dates, culminating in the Procession of the Magi on the evening of January 5th.
Mayor Jose Soria, Councilman Celebration, Rubén Sánchez, and other councilors of the government team have seen the power that took place at 18:00 in the square of Alpargatero.
"This year we renovated some ornamental motifs of the Christmas lights, which again is installed along streets as Highway Murcia, Gran Via, Plaza de la Gate, Liberty Avenue, Street Mataró, Ginés de Paco, slope Parador, street Lopez-Chicheri, Mayor, Plaza del Mesoncico or Plaza del Castillo. Also, in different churches in the town were hanging Christmas decorations, like stars, and lighting has also reached all the districts of the municipality " Ruben Sanchez explained.
The inaugural lighting has been timed to coincide with the opening to the public of Young Christmas market on the main square of Alpargatero.
In this market, which will be open during the weekend until Sunday 14 at noon, you can find sweets, sweets, Christmas plants and crafts and gift items made by youth of the town.
Next week the mayor of Celebration will release the complete schedule of activities for Christmas.
