Education invests 212,000 euros in new facilities IES Vega Argos Cehegín (27/08/2014)

The Ministry of Education, Culture and Universities has begun construction of a new dressing rooms in the Secondary School Vega of the town of Argos Cehegín.

This work, which is scheduled for November, represent a total investment of 212,017.20 euros.

The general director of Educational Institutions, María Dolores Valcárcel, this morning visited the works of this new infrastructure accompanied the mayor, José Soria, who discussed the situation of schools in the municipality.

"The construction of these new costumes was a demand for the educational community of the institute and the City, and the Ministry has made a significant effort to meet this need and to students at the school have adequate infrastructure for education and training carried out under the best possible conditions within the '+ Educational Quality + School Success' strategy, "said Valcarcel.

The new units, covering a total area of ​​113 square meters, consisting of two areas, one male and one female, equipped with showers, locker space, toilets and sinks.

There is also a disabled toilet and a dressing-office for teachers.

When visiting Cehegín also the general manager checked the condition of the works that have been carried out in the Virgin Wonderland Nursery School.

In particular, the Ministry of Education has allocated 11,000 euros for renovation and improvement of this school.

Aid for Children Schools, effective September 3

María Dolores Valcárcel recalled that on Wednesday 3 September, the deadline for families to apply for subsidies from the Ministry of Education, Culture and Universities Schools for Children opens.

These grants, which last year reached 330 students, can cover up to 80 percent of the tariffs set in the dependent Children Community Schools for the education service, which is 83.03 euros to stay in the school between 9:00 and 17:00 hours, and the allowance is 50.19 euros per meal and snack.

They can apply these bonuses families with annual income less than 18,068 euros, as well as numerous and single parents, even if they exceed this figure.

The deadline to request the aid will remain open until September 10.
