With the basic objective of offering specific training monitors leisure time that are related to the group of older people, the Youth Council directed Ruben Sanchez has organized a course Intergenerational animation aimed at young people of the village.

The course of 30 hours of theoretical training and 15 hours of practical will be given by the Association Adinor and teach strategies and techniques for the sociocultural intervention with older people;

how to develop a program of activities, learn to use the various resources, the most suitable for each case methodologies, how to organize the group and working techniques.

The course content is divided into five modules: Intergenerational Animation with older people;

Profile and dynamic functions;

Rationale for intervention with older people in the area of ​​leisure and recreation;

And group dynamics techniques and Volunteering.

Each of these content blocks are subdivided into different sections, offering a full lineup.

The dates for the course will be every Tuesday and Thursday between 13 May and 12 June from 17:00 to 20:00.

The price of the course registration is $ 10 per person.

Councilman Young has stressed the importance of this course to provide tools for professionals and volunteers who work with older people.

Also, Rubén Sánchez highlighted how enriching intergenerational cohabitation may be because young people can learn from the experiences of older people and to this sector of the population may stimulate being in contact with much younger people.
