With a repertoire based on some of the best known songs, joyful and heartbreaking few others, and fragments of operettas and magazines Cehegín Musical Society and the Choir 'Cehegín City have rejoined their talents in traditional joint concert the festivity.
A mixed crowd, with people of all ages, filled the Plaza del Castillo and enjoyed the songs performed by both bands, getting excited with passion filled lyrics or humming the songs and parades gay gender pasodobles zarzuelero.
The night began with the theme 'Couplets Murcia', Manuel Massotti Littel, followed by 'Viva el paso doble', a theme the composer Manuel Alejandro who popularized Rocío Jurado.
The soloist Ana Fernandez played 'foreign soil', the song that Manuel Penella composed in New York for Concha Piquer.
Then came the turn for one of the operettas emblematic of the genre, 'Doña Francisquita' by Amadeo Vives, whose score was interpreted the 'Parade of the students'.
'The brunette of my song' by Carlos Castellanos, 'Wildcat' by Penella and 'The blackberry', de Quiroga, gave way to the song 'And yet I love you', again sung by the voice of Ana Fernandez .
The concert ended with two pieces by Francisco Alonso, the well-known parades 'The Nardos', issue of 'The Leandras', and one of the operetta 'The Clubbing', set in the manners of the vegetable gardens and orchards.
Both the Chorus' Cehegín City, directed by Alfonso Gil, as Cehegín Musical Society, directed by Rafael Gonzalez, harvested standing ovations by the quality and craftsmanship in their performances.
This afternoon, Cehegín Musical Society will give a concert in the Sanctuary of the Virgin of Wonders at the end of the ninth processional marches including 'Alley of O', 'Dolores Salteras' and 'The Grave' and interpretation the Hymn to the Blessed Virgin Wonderland.
