Canara held this past Saturday the Third Ascent to the Sanctuary of the Virgen de la Peña, a test organized by the Canara Festival Committee and the Department of Sports City of Cehegín.
The winner of the event has been Jorge Gisbert Hinojosa, Alcoy, with a time of 26 minutes and 6 seconds.
In women's category, the first to cross the finish line has been Pilar Rodriguez Dominguez, who has completed the test with a time of 36 minutes and 30 seconds.
As for local runners, the classification has led Michelangelo Canovas, followed by Pedro Juan Abril and Francisco Ondoño.
"This time the turnout was low, has not reached fifty riders, mostly coming from outside, mainly due to high temperatures, since the test was held at 35 ° C, and the hardness of it, especially in the last 220 meters of the race, as it represents up to the Shrine of Our Lady of the Rock, where most runners do walk, "said the Councillor for Sports, Antonio Marín.
