Cehegín City Council has joined the anti-rabies vaccination campaign is performing official veterinary school in the Region of Murcia, as explained by the Councillor for Health, Pepa Carreño.
Under current legislation all dogs have until August 31 to catch up in terms of this vaccine.
"The City Council encourages all dog owners of the town you come to your veterinary clinic before that date," said Carreno.
To facilitate movement to cehegineros living in the districts, the City has made available to the College of Veterinary social premises Valentin, El Chaparral, Canara and Campillo of Jimenez.
Vaccinations in social premises of the districts are scheduled for the following days:
The Chaparral: Thursday, August 8, 8:00 to 11:00 hours
Campillo de los Jimenez: Saturday August 10th from 17:00 to 19:00
Canara: Saturday August 10 from 19:00 to 21:00 hours
Valentine: Tuesday August 13, 11:00 to 13:00 hours
Rabies is a viral disease that affects several species of domestic and wild animals and can be transmitted from animals to humans, so it is considered as a zoonosis.
