Give answer and solution to the needs and problems encountered in the development and evolution of the municipality of Cehegín in the next 25 years is the main objective of the Municipal General Management Plan (PGMO), a basic tool that, after more than eight years of discussion, the City Council has provisionally approved and whose general guidelines and this morning before the media the mayor, José Soria, accompanied by Councilman Juan Antonio Chico and the head of the Municipal Technical Office, Alfonso Penalver.

Soria, who said that "we have a plan almost as far as the neighbors who wanted", has affected the long time that this document has been subjected to public exposure so that residents could submit comments and suggest changes.

Specifically, although the law states that this argument period is two months, the actual deadline was extended from October 6, 2010 until March 10, 2011.

As for the types of soils, the mayor stressed firstly that, of the 300 square kilometers that has the municipality, 93% of the land is protected land, "because we want to keep our agriculture and our natural areas, so it is a totally protectionist plan ".

"This PGMO is designed on the principle of sustainability, it is classified as undeveloped land more than 90% of the territory," added Soria.

On the developable land zoned, covers a total of 432 hectares, and not zoned, 1,150 acres.

José Soria has detailed some strategic actions contemplated PGMO.

First referred to the Gate called Canara, which arise through a rearrangement of the final section of the Gran Via to empower commercial hub and improving access from the districts, improving traffic from these districts and future developments planned in this area of ​​town.

Another action would correspond to the entrance area from Caravaca de la Cruz, with an improved polygon gazebo Slaughterhouse and the provision of a new roundabout on the Greenway to replace the current knot Northwest Highway.

The aim is also to complete the hull Ronda Sur, linking it to the exit on the highway, and provide adequate access to planned developments in the area.

Connecting through a new regional road layout B-21 industrial estates of Agua Salada, dung, St. Augustine, Almarjal and Ronda Este, to avoid heavy traffic generated in these industrial floors, is another strategic actions to which adds redefining uses for developing industrial zones.

This is that the plan calls for residential use and certain areas of Slaughterhouse Almarjal.

Soria has also referred to the recovery of the south façade of the town, to improve the city's image from Northwest Highway, and the increase in building height in the main streets of the town, as Begastri, Velazquez Avenue Bullring and road areas of Murcia.

A special section deserve the districts within the PGMO.

They have regulated the construction and conditions are specified for the building, in addition to setting all land uses allowed.
