On Sunday May 26, coinciding with a new edition of The Craft Market Mesoncico, return air painting contest free 'Cehegín Old Town', which reached its twelfth edition with the renewed goal of making the most typical, the monuments, landscapes and urban enclaves of the locality in object of interest for painters.
Organized by the departments of Tourism and Culture, led by Francisco in April and Nicholas del Toro, respectively, the competition has become in recent years, participating in it painters and artists from throughout the Region of Murcia and geographical points.
Registration for the contest will be the same day it is held in the Plaza del Castillo, and the works will be presented in the House of Culture until 1900 hours on the same Sunday.
The contest provides two modes: senior for over 18 years and young child under this age.
The awards will be an early senior category, worth 1,500 euros offered by the city, a second, worth 650 euros courtesy of Bodegas Carreño, and a third, whose amount is 500 euros donated by supermarkets Navarrete.
Two runners-up will also be given 300 euros each Oils contributed by John Wonders, Athemis Advisors and Service Station Wonderland.
In the youth category establishing a single prize of a voucher for paint or stationery item worth 150 euros.
