Cehegín bring nature to young and old.
This is the main objective of the 'Routes Nature Tourism 2013', an initiative of the Department of Tourism led by Francisco in April and the second edition will start on Saturday, February 23, with a distance of 6.5 miles along the Burete Mountains, crossing the Barranco del Conejo to reach the source of the Louse, places high value landscape and environment in which participants can admire the vast masses of Coto Real pine.
April Francis explained that "this project, bound in its second edition after the welcome harvested last year, when about 900 people participated in the activities, consists of eleven tracks (one each month from February path) and is focused to make known our nature and environment surrounding Cehegín, both for people who visit us to cehegineros themselves. "
In addition, the mayor of Tourism reported that "routes will be held on the fourth Saturday of each month, the day before the craft market 'The Mesoncico', so we do well an attractive tour package to spend a great weekend in Cehegín mixing nature, culture, cuisine and traditions. "
"Cehegín has a wide variety of landscapes and natural areas. We find dense forests and arid steppes, fertile valleys, high mountains and gentle valleys, cultivated areas, plains, ravines and streams. With this route we want to bring this wealth to all concerned "he added.
April recalled that back "routes will be free, but those interested must register in advance at the Tourist Office, every day from 10 to 14 pm and Friday and Saturday afternoon also, either through email info @ turismocehegin.es or phone 968 723 550.
The Department has also published pamphlets, which distributed in all Tourist Offices in the Region of Murcia, where all routes are reflected, and a map with tourist spots to visit.
