The complaints Cehegín traffic offenses fell by 30% in 2012 (04/02/2013)

The Councillor for Public Safety of the City of Cehegín, Maria Dolores Carrasco, took stock of the police actions that have been developed in the town in 2012 during the ceremony for a new vehicle to the local police, the that have been present also the mayor, José Soria, and Sergeant-chief, Gabino Garcia.

According to data presented by the mayor, the number of complaints handled by the local police in 2012 has decreased by 24% over the previous year, this decreased to 30% in the case of complaints for violations of traffic regulations, which increased from 938 in 2011 to 664 last year.

Similarly, during 2012 decreased the number of steps Cehegín offenses submitted to the court by the local police as they went from 41 in 2011 to 31 in the year just ended.

Meanwhile the local police sergeant has highlighted increasing citizen relief actions that have gone from 88 to 134 in the last year.

He also noted that the complaints that have increased in the last year were filed against drivers who did not have a driving license, or lacked points of defrauding the drinking water and caused nuisance to neighbors, mainly by noise.

Meanwhile Cehegín Mayor Jose Soria, expressed his thanks and appreciation to body Cehegín Local Police for their work and dedication.

The new vehicle that has been provided to the police is a Peugeot 308 and will improve the service both in the urban and in villages.
