This morning, Jose Soria Garcia, mayor of Cehegín (Murcia), collected in the Municipal Library Chapinería - Palacio de la Sagra (Madrid) the prize of the 13th Campaign Reading Promotion "María Moliner" of the Ministry of Culture, Spanish Federation of Municipalities and Provinces (FEMP) and Coca-Cola Foundation Juan Manuel Sainz de Vicuna given to the library of the municipality.
The library has been honored in the category of municipalities with between 5,001 and 20,000 inhabitants for its "Sumen veus: Reading Sense barrier."
In this issue there have been over 438 proposals.
The other winners were the Library of Tortosa (Tarragona) for the project "Culture and reading to everyone" in the category of municipalities with between 20,001 and 50,000 and the Library of Chapinería (Madrid) for the project "Generation 3.0 : If you remember, they read "in the category of municipalities with fewer than 5,000 inhabitants.
The three winners received a batch of 200 books and a check for 12,000 euros.
The event was attended Roger White, CEO of Books, Archives and Libraries of the Ministry of Culture, Paulino Rodriguez Becedas, the Department of Culture - Directorate of Modernization and Socio-Cultural Revitalization of the FEMP, and Juan José Litrán, manager of the Foundation Coca-Cola, who have been responsible for awarding the prizes.
