The President of the Autonomous Region of Murcia, Ramón Luis Valcárcel, accompanied by Minister of Tourism, Pedro Alberto Cruz, and the local mayor, Jose Soria, inaugurated the new Office of Tourism Cehegín, located in Casco Old.
The event was also attended by the Director General of Tourism, Marina Garcia and Councilman Cehegín Tourism, Francisco April.
The latter explained the composition of the new building, which was built by the company SODELOR SL, with an investment of 457,811 euros, of which the Ministry of Culture and Tourism provided 380,000 euros.
The new infrastructure is located in Lopez Chicheri Street, across from City Hall, and has three floors, which house the new Office of Tourism, an exhibition area, a square lookout at the Peña Rubia, offices, stairs and elevator, Tax Management and Cadastre, multipurpose room which will bring tourism training courses, meeting rooms, and file storage area and parking.
Ramón Luis Valcárcel has stated that "this is a truly unique building because it has beautiful architecture."
For his part, Mayor Jose Soria said that "the Old Town is the 'workhorse' of Cehegín, so investing money in it is to invest in the future."
