Development Minister, Jose Blanco and Mayor Cehegín, Jose Soria, Madrid have signed a collaboration agreement whereby the State provides the City a party of EUR 207,238.76 for the continuation of the excavation and restoration Begastri City, and to end and open to the public on site interpretation center.
During the act granting Cultural '1% ', which was also attended by the Minister of Culture, Ángeles González-Sinde, has agreed to turn the contribution of EUR 88,816.61 by the municipality and address ceheginero of Fine Arts and Cultural Assets of the Region of Murcia.
Be a total of 296,055.37 euros which will be invested immediately in Begastri City, which will allow further digging the entrance to the fort, while restoration takes place, working computers, from its inception to its destruction.
It will hold its museological, with trails, roads, signs and indicators that will make visitors can tour the whole place alone.
In 1982, the Ministry of Culture recommended the City Council to buy land Cehegín Begastri, which belonged to private.
These were used for agriculture, so it was necessary to pass to be municipal and declared as a Cultural, a fact that won four years later in 1986.
