Currently the Government of Spain financed 4 projects in the region from the 1 percent cultural investment of 2.7 billion euros

The Government delegate, Rafael González Tovar, and the mayor of Cehegín, Jose Soria, presented this morning the proposed consolidation of the walls and structures Begastri eastern and central conclusion of the interim host of visitors, Cehegín which will be financed by 1% Cultural Ministry.

In his speech, González Tovar said that through the Cultural 1 percent, the Ministry of Development "is contributing more than ever, rehabilitation and preservation of the property's most significant cultural heritage."

The delegate also stressed that these projects, and to protect and promote the heritage, "a positive impact on economic activity and employment."

The archaeological activities at the Cerro del Castillo, are part of a comprehensive restoration project of the geographical space, historical and archaeological heritage of the southern sector occupied by the medieval castle and the northern sector, where there is a late antique fortress known as "Site of drainers.
