The Children's Carnival Parade 2017 floods the streets of Cehegín with color (27/02/2017)

Colorful, crowded and fun.

One more year, the Cehegín Carnival Children's Parade gathered thousands of people on Sunday to enjoy a great show in which the five primary and secondary schools of the town (Pérez Villanueva, Our Lady of The Wonders of St. Vincent de Paul, Virgen de las Maravillas, Conde de Campillos and the City of Begastri), as well as the different kindergartens, have squandered joy and ingenuity.

The schools showed cehegineros and visitors the work done in the last weeks by students, teachers and parents, to get ready the costumes and tried the choreographies facing the expected day.

The parade began at 16:30 hours from Calle Alfonso X El Sabio (Next to Juan Carlos I Park), Gran Vía, Calle Carmen Conde, Calle Begastri, Plaza de la Verja, Carretera de Murcia and final in the Sala Camelot

Once completed a Carnival Children's Party was held in the Camelot Room and a snack was given to all participants in the parade.

On the other hand, last Saturday, February 25, began the activities of Carnival ceheginero with the Carnavatón II Cehegín 2017, popular race of carnival solidarity.

Already at night the election of the "Mask in the Remembrance" was held, to Antonia de la Ossa González, "La Ventanas";

And "Mask of the Year" to Antonio Sánchez Fernández "El Paredes".

The Councilor of Celebrations, Ana Maria Molina, was in charge of delivering these distinctions to two symbols of the Ceheginero Carnival.

As well as Antonio "El Paredes", were very grateful and excited for this award.

Already, and on Sunday morning, before the children's fashion show, the Mercadillo, "El Mesoncico", served as a stage for a series of typical Carnival costumes, as well as the Edil gave three representatives of the most comparsas A commemorative plaque, in recognition of his trajectory.

The Carnival of Cehegín continues tomorrow Tuesday, February 28, with the III Childhood Mascarón Contest and the traditional mascarones contest.
