The Minister of Family and Equal Opportunities, Thomas Violante, with the mayor of Cehegín, Jose Rafael Rocamora, yesterday attended the acts of the tenth anniversary of the Day Center of San Francisco, Caritas Parish Virgen de las Maravillas.

At the ceremony, the minister recalled that the Ministry of Family is funding more than 1.2 million maintaining soup kitchens, commissaries, welcoming people in housing and employment programs for young developing Caritas.

Specifically, the day center Cehegín works on two programs: one is aimed at improving employability and youth guarantee, aimed at people or at risk of social exclusion, (funded by the European Social Fund), and a second is the 'Plan host in housing', aimed at immigrants at risk of exclusion.
