The Mayor of Cehegín, Jose Rafael Rocamora, Councillor of Agriculture, Maria Jose Martinez and the Councillor for Economic Development, Francisco Chico, have held a meeting with representatives of the agricultural sector in the municipality, aimed to draw the lines of a future plan strategic impetus to this sector, channeling the demands of it and seek further promotion of the local economic activity.

In the same they were attended by farmers from small and large farms in the agricultural sector in the municipality, agricultural unions, institutional representatives and management etc, which have been launched, as explained by the Consistory, a forum that aims to analyze the situation of the sector ceheginera primary in the town and trace, thus the lines of work that will improve agriculture in the municipality.

Cehegín Mayor said that "the balance of this meeting has been positive because it has become an accurate analysis of the factors hindering the growth of this sector in our town. So, from there, we will work over the next months in developing a plan to allow or facilitate the development of agriculture "

Finally, the mayor explained that "agriculture is an activity in which we are determined to bet to be one of the pillars of Cehegín of the future".
