Cehegín Mayor holds a meeting with Ucomur to promote employment and social economy in the municipality (05/07/2016)

Cehegín Mayor Jose Rafael Rocamora, held a meeting with the president of the Union of Worker Cooperatives in the Region of Murcia (Ucomur), Juan Antonio Pedroza;

at the meeting they have also been Councilman Employment, Francisco Chico;

Councillor of Agriculture, Maria Jose Martinez Verdugo, and the Local Development Agent at City Hall.

The consistory of Cehegín and Ucomur focus efforts to boost the industrial estate of Agua Salada, the Business Incubator "El Coso" and associative economic fabric of the town.

It has also been agreed the signing of a collaboration agreement between the City of Cehegín and Ucomur.

The organization will try to promote all types of employment in the municipality focusing on the possibilities of opting for the work associated neighbors.

Another purpose is to advance negotiations for this consistory adheres to the Network of Municipalities for the Cooperative and Social Economy.

A network that already belong to municipalities Sewer and Totana and is expected to reach all municipalities in the region.

The aim is that the consistory is committed to support the work of Ucomur diffusion associated work in their municipalities cooperate in what they are allowed to cooperative societies in their environment, establish social clauses when companies concursen by a municipal public contract and cooperate with other municipalities to support entrepreneurial initiatives governed by another form of economy which is cooperativism.

Ucomur revealed in its last general meeting held on May 27, which in terms of Municipalities, Murcia was the engine of regional cooperatives with 55 new companies created in 2015. But Lorca, Eagles and Molina de Segura joined a multiple cooperative enterprises list that included 25 municipalities more during the past year.

The aim of the Union of Cooperatives of Murcia is to be the 45 municipalities that create new companies during 2016 and that these companies are established in the territory and can continue to perform their duties during the maximum possible time creating jobs quality.

For his part, José Rafael Rocamora thanked UCOMUR put all its resources available to the City of Cehegín and stated that "this collaboration shows the clear will of the government team to promote associations and business cooperatives in our town, formula proven that It is giving very good results in the region of Murcia, with the ultimate aim to ensure better employment opportunities in Cehegín ".
