The mayor of Cehegín, Alicia del Amor, has signed a new agreement with the Autonomous Community, through the Ministry of Transparency, Participation and Public Administration for the provision of the forest fire prevention and extinction service in accordance with the provisions of the plan INFOMUR and in its operation for the period 2020-2021.Currently, the Autonomous Community has an Emergency Civil Protection Plan for Forest Fires (INFOMUR Plan), whose main objective is to establish the hierarchical and functional organization, as well as the procedures for acting on the resources and services in order to to protect people, property and the environment.The purpose of these grants, 7,000 euros, is to contribute to the prevention of forest fires during times of high danger, with an increase in the volunteer staff in forest surveillance tasks in those municipalities that have significant forest masses, whose participation is contemplated in the Infomur Plan.
