PP: "The PSOE breached the Public Contract Law during the last months of government" (25/02/2020)

The Popular Party of Cehegín has denounced the bad practices of the previous PSOE government team in relation to public contracts.

A practice that was carried out throughout the legislature and intensified during the last months of government.

The Rocamora government team carried out a reform or extension at the "Virgen de las Maravillas" Day Stay Center.

This action was carried out without budget, without official project management, without project or valued memory and without publicity at the time of awarding the works, "the popular have pointed out.

From the Popular Party of Cehegín they have recalled that in June 2018 the presentation of a motion to the Municipal Plenary was announced for the extension of the Daytime Stay Center and therefore its squares.

At that time the PSOE was quick to announce that they were already working on a project for such expansion.

One more lie since in later days they commissioned a municipal technician verbally a memory valued to carry out enclosure works on the back porch of the Day Stay Center but not for extension.

This report would be presented to the Ministry of Social Policy of the CARM dated August 28, 2018, almost two months after the motion presented by the Cehegín PP.

Due to the rush for the elections, the City Council began the works, with a cost of € 10,988.91, adjudicating its execution by finger.

These works would finally exceed € 40,000.

The PSOE skipped the Law on public contracts and split bills or commissioned jobs from different companies.

In addition, the cost of this action was not contemplated in the Municipal Budgets.

More than a year after the execution of the work, almost € 36,000 had not been paid, which they took to Plenary for reparation and extrajudicial credit recognition.

The former PSOE government team also lied in relation to the increase in places for the "Virgen de las Maravillas" Day Stay Center.

The expansion works compromised the concession currently held by the company that manages the center.

The regulations state that the Day Stay Center could expand its places by 10%, which meant going from 54 to 59 places, maintaining the current contract with the company that manages this Center.

The extension to 74 seats that the PSOE sold implied to tender the contract of management of the Day Stay Center and rescind the current concessionaire from the contract signing in 2017.

This is just another episode of the excesses committed by former Mayor Rocamora, the former Councilor of the finger contracts Ismael Abellán and the PSOE government team.

To buy wills on the eve of elections, everything related to hiring, adjudication and execution of works was skipped to the bullfighter.
