New edition of the Cehegín Carnival Poster Contest (24/01/2020)

The Department of Celebrations, directed by Juan Martínez has published the bases of the Carnival Poster Contest 2020, in order to promote this party as a sign of identity and ancestral tradition of the city and the Northwest Region, which will take place from 21 to February 29.

These are the bases:

1st.- All the people who estimate it may participate in this contest.

2nd.- The theme will revolve around the Carnival parties.

3º.- The work will consist of the elaboration of a poster announcing the Carnival 2020.

4th.- Three categories will be established:

A) ADULTS (national level)

B) SCHOOL II- at the local level, for students of the ESO and Baccalaureate, from 13 to 18 years.

C) SCHOOL I- For elementary students up to 12 years, also locally.

5th.- The preparation of the poster will have to meet the following criteria:

* A) adults:

-It must be drawing, painting, photography or digital design with free technique and measures 50x 70 cm or equivalent.

-The composition works such as collages, murals ...

* Categories B and C School I and II:

- They must be drawings, paintings, photographs or compositions in black and white or color.

All posters - of any of the categories - must bear the reference:

Carnival Cehegín 2020- from February 21 to 29-. â€

The Carnival of the Northwest â€.

6º.-The works may be titled by their authors without abandoning the theme of the contest.

7º.- The works presented must not bear any name or visible sign that could identify their author.

8º.- The participants will formalize a registration form with two copies that will be provided by this Central Board of Comparsas at the time of delivery of the work, and of which, in turn, must attach one, in a sealed envelope , on the back of each job.

9.- Each participant may submit a maximum of two works, which have not been awarded in other competitions.

10.- 0 h.

The deadline for admission of posters will end on Monday, February 10, 2020 at 8:00 p.m.

11.- The works, once deposited in the Adolfo Suárez Cultural Center in date and time, will be evaluated by a jury chaired by the Councilor of Celebrations.

12.- The unique prize for each category will be:

-300 euros for category A) of adults and its edition as poster announcing the Carnival 2020

-100 euros for category B) in a voucher to be exchanged in any of the bookstores of Cehegín, for the acquisition of school material, and edition of the work within the program of events of the Carnival 2020.

-80 euros for category C) in a voucher to be exchanged in any of the bookstores of Cehegín, for the acquisition of school supplies, and edition of the work within the program of events of Carnival 2020.

13.- Prizes may be declared void if, at the discretion of the jury, they do not stand out with sufficient quality for publication.

14.- The winning works will remain the property of Exmo.

15.- Both the works presented and the name of the winners will be made public and will be exhibited during the Carnival week, in one of the municipal halls or dependencies.

16.- Any doubt about the development of the selection process will be resolved by the representatives of the jury and the General Board of Comparsas in the premises of the Adolfo Suárez Cultural Center, where the works will also be collected.
