Big day today for the Animay Association, helm of the "Virgen de las Maravillas" Day Center of Cehegín, which has received in Cartagena one of the distinctions of the "Awards of the Mayor of the Region of Murcia 2019", "for his dedication in favor of the elderly. "
These awards have been organized by the Ministry of Women, Equality, LGTBI, Families and Social Policy of the Region of Murcia, directed by Isabel Franco and have been attended by the President of the Region of Murcia, Fernando López Miras.
The entire Animay team has moved to the port city, accompanied by users and their families.
The Mayor of Cehegín, Alicia del Amor, has also been present in such an emblematic act;
the First Deputy Mayor, Jerónimo Moya, as well as the Councilor for the Elderly, Mónica Sánchez and members of the Government Team.
Juan José Gómez, the soul of this group, has been in charge of collecting this award given to him by the Vice Mayor of Cartagena, Noelia Arroyo.
We remember, as they have described themselves, that for Animay their passion and treasure is the Person.
"We place, they have explained, the epicenter of the activity of the association, in the deepest desire of the elderly, in their yearning for meaning and happiness, in the realization of their life project, in creating the most suitable conditions for that their rights be respected and protected and where an environment is promoted where freedom of expression and the development of their life are encouraged based on their values and beliefs that are the most sacred values of the human being. "
Alicia del Amor has stated "that it is a satisfaction for all the cehegineros because it recognizes a collective in our town that has always been an example for us. And not only for us, those who see it from the other side, but for all its users, who find in the Center of the Virgin of Wonders Day a place to recover with intensity that life that they still have to live.
