The president of the Community, Fernando López Miras, attended the Mass today in honor of the Virgen de las Maravillas to "live like another ceheginero" acts in honor of their patron.
López Miras thanked the mayor of Cehegín, Alicia del Amor, as well as the president of the Brotherhood of the Virgin of Wonders, Alfonso Ciudad, for the invitation to the regional government to participate in the events of the big day of the municipality.

The image of the Virgin, which was crowned canonically on September 10, 1925, was made in Naples by the sculptor Nicola.
He arrived in Cehegín, transferred by boat from the Italian city, in 1725 and was co-patron of the city next to San Zenón for a few years.
