Inauguration of the new Avenue Plaza de Toros (04/09/2009)

The Minister of Universities and Research Company, Salvador Marin, the director general of Trade and Crafts, Julio Lorenzo, and the mayor of Cehegín, Jose Soria, inaugurated the works of improvement and refurbishment of the Avenue Plaza de Toros, where have invested around 270,000 euros, financed by the Autonomous Community and the local council.

Avenue Plaza de Toros has been completely changed his image, with the installation of 32 modern streetlights, paving, new sanitation, granite building wider sidewalks, street furniture (30 bins and 8 banks) and vertical and horizontal signs, which have made it more commercial.

In fact, this action is framed within the Plan to Enhance the Retail Trade in the Region of Murcia.

The Town Planning, Works and Services and Trade, Gregorio Morales, Juan Antonio Chico and Maria Teresa González, respectively, and the president of the Association of Commerce Cehegín, Pedro Ruiz, have been present at the opening ceremony in Salvador Marín the counselor said that "this is a sign that we are betting on a productive economy," adding that "he has given much color to this avenue."
