The Civil Protection IX Conference brings together volunteers from across Spain in Cehegín (13/12/2014)

After opening was made a tribute to the Group Underwater Civil Guard and delivered the Silver Medal of the National Association of Civil Protection Volunteers several agents

The IX Conference on Civil Protection Volunteers, held in Cehegín this weekend, bring together arrivals from almost all regions of Spain volunteers.

The days have been inaugurated this morning by the head of the Fifth Zone of the Civil Guard of the Region of Murcia, José Ortega colonel;

CEO of Public Safety and Emergency of the Autonomous Community, Luis Gestoso;

Cehegín Mayor Jose Soria;

Councillor for Public Safety, María Dolores Carrasco, and the coordinator of the Municipal Service Civil Protection Volunteers, José de Moya.

The ninth edition of this conference, which have a biannual, whose central theme the role of Civil Protection in planning major events and intervention and action protocols for major emergencies.

"These days, such as the eight previous editions, we want to serve to exchange views and experiences among groups of volunteers from the region of Murcia and other autonomous communities," said José de Moya, who added that this activity will help XXXI also celebrate the anniversary of the ceheginera grouping, born in September 1983.

All authorities present at the inauguration have highlighted the role of the Civil Guard in society, a body which, as pointed chief Colonel José Ortega, in recent barometers of CIS is being considered the best institution valued by the Spaniards.

Also, Luis Gestoso has emphasized the presence of the Guardia Civil in natural disasters, accidents or emergencies and emphasized the suffering endured by this body because of terrorism.

After the opening ceremony was performed a tribute to the Group Underwater Civil Guard and has given the Silver Medal of the National Association of Civil Protection Volunteers for their collaboration with Underwater Rescue Group of the Region of Murcia several officers of the Meritorious.

Speakers at the conference involved are the head of Civil Protection section SAMUR of Madrid, Fernando Prado, who will speak on 'Protocols of action in major emergencies';

Chief Inspector and Teacher Specialization Update Center and the National Police Corps, José García Ullastre;

and the head of Civil Protection of the City of Puente Genil (Córdoba), Rafael Galvez, who will speak on 'Municipal Civil Protection from major emergencies.
