The Association for the Cure, Drug Addicts Rehabilitation and Reintegration of Bethany old today, November 24, 25 years.
On this date as indicated Cehegín City Council wants to "recognize the work of this association throughout his long career always for the benefit of people with drug addiction problems", as expressed by the Councillor for Social Services, María José de Maya.
The Betania Association has as main purpose the prevention, rehabilitation and reintegration of people with problems of social exclusion associated with drug addiction.
Launched exclusively with volunteers and with limited material resources, it soon became a multidisciplinary team of professionals responsible for the psychosocial treatment that has been offering since 1990, settling and guaranteeing them the Convention established with the Murcia Health Service since 1995.
The cataloging of 'Obra Social Interest' by the City of Cehegín supposed the feasibility for construction of a building owned by the Betania Association, opened in 2003, where it has a modern and fully adapted and equipped infrastructure.
Furthermore, in 2010, got the Betania Association Interior Ministry character recognition Public Utility, which was published in the Official Gazette of July 15, 2010.
Programs like Drug Addiction Prevention, Information Service, Counseling and Intervention with Families at risk in drug addiction, (SIFA) and Supported Employment, labor linked to socio-psycho-social Rehabilitation and Integration of people with addictions , all demonstrate the social commitment of the Betania Association.
In parallel, and to promote rehabilitation work, workshops and activities, many thanks to the collaboration of other institutions and agencies, such as workshops and Computer Typing, Crafts, Sports, Gardening, Masonry, Cultural Visits are organized etc .
