The works of the Garden of El Coso, resumed after Christmas by the contractor José Díaz SA after a year and paralyzed half will be completed by the third quarter of this year, announced the Cehegín Mayor Jose Soria, and Councilman Works and Services, Juan Antonio Chico, during a visit this morning to a project that is taking its final configuration and aims to become a flagship action and a point of great interest in the Old Town.

During his tour, Soria and Chico have found the pace they have taken the works for which the Autonomous Community has provided a total of 3.5 million euros through the ministries of Public Works and Planning and Education and Culture, while the City has provided 474,000 euros.

Councilman Works and Services recalled that in 2011, President of the Autonomous Community, Ramón Luis Valcárcel, laid the foundation stone of the works, which were halted in July 2012 to review and approve technical aspects a slight modification of budget.

For a while it became a degraded and polluted area for which the City sought a solution in the form of the project called 'Oasis', designed by the architects Mónica García and Javier Rubio.
