The School of Music will take to the streets to celebrate Cehegín Santa Cecilia (06/11/2013)

One objective of this activity is to provide educational work carried out by the School of Music

With the dual purpose of bringing music to all corners of Cehegín and neighbors and publicize educational work, the School of Music will hit the streets on November 18 coinciding also with the approach of the feast of its patron , Santa Cecilia, as reported by the Councillor for Education and Culture, Nicholas del Toro.

Thus, different enclaves and urban spaces become Cehegín outdoor settings where students divided by instruments or instrumental families, offer brief recitals in the eyes of onlookers and passersby.

Auditions will begin at 16:30 hours at the door of the House of Culture with the percussion instruments.

At 17:00 hours, the trumpets will sound in the courtyard of the convent of San Esteban and half an hour after the violins which will take over at the door of the parish of St. Mary Magdalene.

At 18:00 hours, the square will host Mesoncico hearing woodwind family and at 18:30 guitar students offered his recital at the park Ginés Ibanez.

Finally, the classroom culture of Cajamurcia host the last of the auditions at 19:00 hours with the school choir and piano.

"With this activity we consider socially and educationally interesting we not only offer a different afternoon in which the music is the star of the streets of Cehegín, but also raise awareness of the important work of the School of Music with the entire community educational and so encourage more cehegineros part of your project, "explained Councillor for Education and Culture, Nicholas del Toro.
