The sewing workshop organized by the City of Cehegín in partnership with the Abraham Project was officially closed this morning with the presentation of diplomas to the students participating in it.
The event was attended by the director general assistance Pension Programs Rating and Inclusion of Imass, Miguel Angel Miralles, Cehegín Mayor Jose Soria, the Councillor for Environment, Maria Dolores Carrasco and Project Secretary Abraham, Mary José Chumillas.
The workshop, held from 15 to 28 February at the Social Local neighborhood of San Antonio, was largely devoted to the arrangement of clothes and make other recycled fabrics, such as aprons, bags or covers for the ironing board.
During 40 hours of practical training, the students learned to make these arrangements and repairs of clothing and also to use industrial sewing machines.
During the closing ceremony of the course, Michelangelo Miralles shown grateful "to the mayor, to work for the people who are suffering, to Abraham Project, because they are people who work for people, and that's the most beautiful thing there , and the students of the workshop, despite being unemployed in a struggle every day to see a ray of light. "
For his part, José Soria thanked once again Abraham Project social work developed in Cehegín and ensured that the City Council will continue to support this work and all activities developed by this partnership for the benefit of people with more difficulty.
