Councilman Works and Services, Juan Antonio Chico, visited the demolition of the houses that are in the B-20, at the entrance to the hamlet of Canara, known as the 'Houses of Siro' because ruinous situation in which they were constituted a danger to road traffic and for pedestrians in the area.
Chico said that thanks to the efforts made by the mayor, José Soria, the City has acquired the properties for demolition and proceed to avoid the danger that existed.
"Subsequently, the lots will be sold resulting from the demolition to the Highways Agency for at that point narrowing of the B-20 to carry out the work necessary to allow for widening the road, thereby improving the safety of drivers and pedestrians in that area, "said the mayor of Works and Services.
Recently Canara neighbors were informed of this action on the B-20 at a meeting convened by the City Council attended by the mayor and the whole government team and fifty neighbors.
The meeting also discussed other issues and explained the various initiatives being undertaken in the district from the Consistory.
Other topics reported on the works to be put in place immediately to resolve an odor problem in the stack produced by the pumping station sewage treatment plant going up and cadastral situation of greenhouses and other buildings in the garden.
Also, the mayor agreed with farmers and growers attending the meeting to enhance the promotion of local products and, mainly, flowers, working to increase the presence of businesses, farmers and cooperatives sector in trade fairs .
