The regional government has given its approval to the extension of an agreement between the Ministry of Health and Social Policy and the City of Cehegín for the service day center for elderly dependent people in this town.

To this end, the Community will allocate an amount of 184,800 euros and will be offered 22 places.

Day care centers, serving the elderly dependent care, offer users assistance services, therapeutic and leisure activities to improve the quality of life and foster greater personal autonomy.

Currently, the Region has a total of 952 public spaces for adults and 800 private day care centers.

This is in addition the 1661 public places in day centers for people with disabilities.
