Cehegín City Council will launch a wine school (14/01/2011)

Cehegín Mayor Jose Soria, Councillor of Tourism, Francisco in April, and local sommelier Pedro Martinez, 'Golden Nose 2001', presented at the Palace of Tercia an ambitious project to convert its huge cellar in a wine school where people from all over Spain may be formed about the world of wines.

Reported in April that "we have spent over a year and a half working on this project which will involve an investment of more than 270,000 euros, provided mostly by EAFRD funds."

Also added that "once this is finished wine school, Cehegín will expand its tourism and cultural development."

The architect responsible for designing this space, José Luis López, explained what it will be the same, "which will have a central ground-glass walkway, so that they see the huge pots that are buried with items of information. It will also have with a multipurpose room to give courses, gatherings or other events as well as a sales area for wine-related products and Cehegín culture. "

The mayor, who has been very satisfied with the project of the School of Wine, has been advanced that "it will be named Pedro Martinez, who is doing both Cehegín, and so much coverage being given to our people."
