The Councilor for Culture, Maravillas Fernández, has presented, within the annual activities planned by its Department, a new cycle of lectures on Historical Heritage of Cehegín, which will take place throughout the months of April and May.
It has also been accompanied by the Director of the Headquarters of the University of Murcia in the municipality, Salvador Ruiz de Maya, Institution that collaborates in the same, as well as by the Director of the Archaeological Museum of Cehegín, Francisco Peñalver Aroca.
The activities will be held in one of the Archaeological Museum Rooms and all of them will begin at 8:00 p.m.
They are the following:
They will start tomorrow. Thursday, April 26, will be offered the conference entitled "Panorama of the Museums of the Region of Murcia", which will be borne by the Director of the Provincial Archaeological Museum of Murcia, Luis Enrique de Miguel Santed.
On Thursday, May 3, will take place the title "The Museum of the Cathedral of Murcia", which will be taught by Concepción de la Peña, Professor of Art History at the University of Murcia.
On Friday, May 11, the Professor of Archeology and Director of the University Institute of Archeology Research at the University of Alicante, Sonia Gutiérrez, will speak on "From Teodomiro to Tudmir: Begastri (Cabezo de Roenas, Cehegín) and Eio (El Tolmo of Minateda.) A parallel story ".
On Friday, May 18, the conference "Archaeological Mission in Oxirrinco, Egypt" will take place, which will be handled by José Javier Martínez, Archaeologist Egyptologist.
After the completion of the same will take place a piano concert, on the occasion of the "Day of the Museums" by Arturo Abellán.
The following day, Saturday, May 19, will be the "Night of the Museums, Sephardic Music and Piano Concert", an artistic activity that will be carried out by Victoria Cava, Doctor of Communication Sciences;
and of the pianist Mari Francis Sáez Escámez.
And already, on Thursday, May 24, will put the finishing touch to these days the conference entitled "Geological history of Cehegín and video of geology in Murcia", given by Antonio Espín and Gregorio Romero, Geologists of the Technological Center of Marble and Heritage Service of the Autonomous Community of the Region of Murcia.
The Councilor for Culture explained that "this year, with this cycle on our Historical Heritage, we consolidated an idea that, over time, has served to vindicate our past and that this is known by the general public"
