Ciudadanos celebrates the unblocking of the improvement of the Cañada García road in Cehegín included in its amendments to the regional budgets (13/12/2017)

Citizens has managed today to take forward another of the amendments to the regional budget of 2017, and whose approval conditioned the agreement finally reached for the accounts of 2018. It is about the reopening of the Cañada García road in Cehegín, at its intersection with the highway of Calasparra, a fundamental connection called to become the exit and entry axis of the farmers of this area as well as the Canaraflor cooperative.

In total, and thanks to the pressure of Citizens, the investment in the road will exceed 900,000 euros, "since in addition to enabling the connection with the RM-714, the Calasparra road, will be released to the nearby quarries, leaving this work perfectly integrated with the development of the future Autovía del Norte ", highlighted the spokesman of the orange municipal group, Jerónimo Moya.

Moya has been present this morning in the signing of the agreement for the expropriation of the lands affected by the action together with the regional deputy Luis Fernandez, and has indicated that the tender of the total work "can be ready before the end of the year the course , ending a blockade that lasted eight years. "

The orange spokesman has accompanied the secretary of the Ministry of the Presidency and Development, Yolanda Muñoz, who has moved to Cehegín for the signing of the agreement.

"Today we unlocked one of the main problems suffered by farmers in terms of logistics and operation for the development of their activity, since in 2009 the crossing of the road after several accidents at the intersection of Cañada García was closed.

The project, which is expected to be completed in 2019, will facilitate the natural departure of farmers from Canara, La Pilá and El Campillo to the Calasparra highway and the future Autovía del Norte, improving logistics and promoting greater efficiency and competitiveness for a sector as important for the local economy as the cut flower ", added Moya.
