The Local Development Department organizes the course, "Basic operations of restaurant and bar", aimed at young people of Youth Guarantee (06/02/2017)

The Department of Local Development and Employment, led by Francisco Chico, has organized the Level 1 "Basic Operations of Restaurant and Bar" course for young people under 30 enrolled in the National System of Youth Guarantee.

The purpose of this program is to train in the hospitality sector to assist in the service and to prepare and present simple drinks and fast foods, executing and applying operations, techniques and basic norms of manipulation, preparation and conservation of foods and beverages.

With the course, the young beneficiaries will be able to obtain the corresponding Certificate of Professionalism.

The course will be subsidized by the Regional Employment and Training Service (SEF), with funds from the Autonomous Community and co-financed by the European Social Fund.

The venue for the course will be Cehegín Economic Promotion Center, Nursery of Companies "The Coso" and the "School of Wine", and will have 290 hours.

Places are limited and the maximum number of students is 15.

The start date of the program is from March 7 to June 16, from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., every Tuesday, Thursday and Friday.

It is totally free and for the inscription the interested parties must contact with Jose Sánchez Lozano, in the City council of Cehegín.

The program will consist of the following parts:

Application of hygienic-sanitary standards and conditions in restoration.

30 hours

Use of the basic staffing of the restaurant and assistance in the service.

30 hours

Basic food and beverage service and post-service tasks in the restaurant.

60 hours

Application of hygienic-sanitary standards and conditions in restoration.

30 hours

Supply and storage of food and drinks in the bar.

30 hours

Preparation and service of drinks and fast foods in the bar.

60 hours

Non-work professional practices.

80 hours

The Councilor for Employment, Francisco Chico, said that "from the City Council we are focused on the provision of training of our youth in those sectors that we think are key to the development of our municipality, among which is undoubtedly the sector of Restoration and Tourism ".
