The Councilor for Social Services Cehegín City Council, Antonia Fernandez, received the contribution in the form of food that was collected in the solidarity football game, which took place on 26 December.
The Mayor of Sports, Joaquín López, as well as organizers and collaborators of the same as Carlos Pacheco and those in charge of Más FM Begastri have also been present, on the part of the City council, and collaborator from his Council in this charitable act.
About 4,000 kilos of food were collected, which will go to the families in need in the municipality of Cehegín.
The party, which was a success, had more than fifteen hundred people in terms of audience attendance.
The food, according to the Councilor for Social Services, will go to the charitable organizations of Caritas "Virgen de las Maravillas" and "Santa Maria Magdalena", as well as the association "Caridad Ceheginera."
We remember that this game has served to make known faces of the world of sport, bullfighting, culture and communication, have come together for a good cause, such as getting food for the most needy families in the municipality.
The Councilor wanted to highlight "the disinterested work of all those who have been part of this initiative, which comes to contribute a grain of sand more so that people in need of Cehegín can have some staple food at this time."
From the City Hall, the Councilor continued, "we are very satisfied that this solidarity event has exceeded all expectations regarding donated food and public attendance in the party."
Lastly, Edil commented that this act "is not only a great sporting initiative for the people with less resources in our town, but also for our municipality, which on that day receives a lot of visitors, which is important for our Local economy, from the tourist point of view ".
