UCAM Falco Trail HG 2016 ends with new challenges and looks set for next year (05/12/2016)

With the awarding of trophies to all the winners, yesterday closed the Ucam Falco Trail HG 2016 that this year, despite having been passed by water, has had the same enthusiasm and effort of all its participants.

This last act, as we say, was attended by the Mayor of Cehegín, José Rafael Rocamora, Councilor for Sports, Joaquín López, and the Director of the event, Miguel Angel Gonzalez.

We remember that this great sporting event was celebrated this weekend in Cehegín.

Kim Collison and Maite Maiora, were crowned as the kings of the Northwest mountains in the Ultra 100K and already, in the marathon, the winners were Mercedes Pila and Pau Capell.

Many events have also been held prior to the Falcotrail sporting events, such as the production of the "Super Paco" short film, book presentation, talks, conferences or interview with world champions Luis Alberto Hernando and Maite Maiora.

We remind you that the UCAM Falco Trail HG 2016 is a mountain track test registered in the ITRA (International Trail Running Association), the largest international body responsible for controlling and coordinating everything concerning this modality.

It is an event belonging to the Spain Ultra Cup, competition composed by five other races this test closes the championship and is also scoring to get the participation in the mythical Ultra Trail of Mont Blanc, specifically were at stake three of the fifteen points needed for the Classification to this test.

This last fact and the peculiar route that compose it, has attributed to the UCAM Falco Trail HG a great prestige, since over these six years it has managed to gather the most important athletes of the world in this modality.
