Councilman Works and Services, Renewable Energy and Energy Efficiency, Ismael Abellán García, has reported that the City of Cehegín, with the purchase of an electric blower, start replacing blowers gasoline used by municipal workers, the which generate less noise in order to minimize the inconvenience to neighbors, facilitate work and comfort to those who use them, while that respects the environment.
The council has explained that "these blowers are quieter, with less vibration and allow operators to work with less effort because the weight of an electric is about 6 kg, 12 kg of gasoline, do not produce noise pollution, because down to 80 decibels, 100 of which are now used, or gases, and also respect the environment and for our work are essential as support both manual and mechanical sweeping "
The new single blower powered by a lithium battery of 1,148 Wh.
They are lighter for the worker and are recyclable.
That means a significant saving of CO2 emissions to the environment, while 7.50 euros a day on gasoline saved.
The mayor also said that "even though the cost is higher than gasoline, fuel savings makes, from the first year, we have the battery fully funded with a net profit of 5,000 euros over its lifetime" .
We recall that the City of Cehegín signed an agreement with the Sustainable Development Foundation in which that together with this organization as a consultant, pledged that in the next three years the Consistory bet on the promotion of renewable energies last May , energy efficiency and sustainable mobility, as key measures to reduce emissions of polluting gases in the municipality and thus contribute to the fight against climate change and conservation of natural resources.
