The CEIP Virgen de las Maravillas has won this morning the 'Medioambientados' contest with which he has completed the initiative of the same name promoted by the Department of Environment with the aim of inculcating a series of habits and respectful conduct and publicize the middle natural.

This has been subsidized by the company Ecoembes and has also had to Hidrogea as a sponsor of the final prizes.

Of the latter company he has been present its area manager, Inmaculada Serrano Sanchez and Jose Manuel Campos, operations manager in Cehegín.

In recent months, all students of 6th of Primary schools in the city have participated in this social and educational program that has had three phases up to the test today, held at the House of Culture Cehegín.

The five participants, corresponding to the Count of Campillos, Perez Villanueva, City Begastri, Virgen de las Maravillas and Our Lady of the Wonders of St. Vincent de Paul, schools teams have been composed of five students, differentiated shirts different colors.

The Adinor Association has been responsible for leading the contest, which has had different tests and questions based on some TV contests.

The mayor, Jose Rafael Rocamora, and the Councillor for Environment, Maria Jose Martinez Verdugo, have been present in the contest and the awards ceremony.

For this program, the City of Cehegín has been awarded the Award for Sustainable Development, in particular by "The environmental education initiatives at the municipal level", awarded by the Ministry of Water, Agriculture and Environment of the Region of Murcia, and it was published in the BORM, last February 13.

It has been taught by the Adinor Association and has consisted of three phases in which they have dealt with various issues such as biodiversity and their importance in the environment, protected areas in the Region of Murcia and the municipality, sustainable use of water , waste management and different energy sources, among others.
