Councilman Montes, Joaquín Marín, and municipal technical Environment Ambrosio Morales, met with experts from the Ministry of Agriculture and Water in the Region of Murcia, in order to define the strategies to follow to start underway in the municipality of the project "Model Forest."
The Model Forest concept, developed in Canada, aims to promote integrated and sustainable management of forest resources, growth and conservation through participation and consensus.
The International Model Forest Network is a voluntary association of individuals across the world to work together toward the common goal of sustainable management of forest landscapes and natural resources.
Therefore, the council has appealed to all those who wish to participate in the development of this project, either through an association or individually.
