The PSOE denounces that the PP-Ciudadanos pact means for Cehegín "two salaries of the mayor" (18/07/2019)

Today the Cehegín Municipal Plenary took place in which, among other issues, the issue of the release of councilors has been discussed.

This point has counted on the vote against the Socialist Group.

Our socialist spokesman Ismael Abellán, in charge of debating this issue, explained during his speech the reasons for the vote against our group.

And is that with the approval of this point thanks to the votes of Popular Party and Citizens, the annual salary of the four people released will amount to 124,500 euros, representing an increase of 33,372.40 euros, 37% more , regarding the salaries of the three liberated socialists in the previous legislature.

In this way DÂŞ Mónica Sánchez is released to 45% with a salary of 14,000 euros per year;

Pedro Lorencio at 75% with a salary of 28,500 euros per year;

and Alicia del Amor and Jerónimo Moya are released 100% with a retribution of 41,000 euros each, around 10,000 euros more than the previous salary of Mayor, José Rafael Rocamora.

Even so, from the Socialist Party of Cehegín we assume the retribution of the Mayor of Cehegín, even assuming almost 10,000 euros more than his predecessor in the mayor's office, our General Secretary José Rafael Rocamora.

As well as the remuneration of the Councilor of Works and Services, Pedro Lorencio, because this council requires a very important dedication.

But from the PSOE of Cehegín we see inadmissible, as it has been expressed by Ismael Abellán in full, the releases of the Citizens group.

On the one hand that of Monica Sanchez, as it is released by 45% in councils that historically have never required any release, as it was in the last socialist legislature.

And even more inadmissible we consider the liberation of Jerónimo Moya, who will receive the highest salary a councilor has ever had in the history of Cehegín City Council, an issue that is aggravated by the fact that he is not in charge of any of the Councilors of more weight.

Thus, Jerónimo Moya will receive the same salary as the mayor.

Some unusual and incomprehensible facts that can only be fruit of the exigencies of Jerónimo Moya in the "pact of the ladder" to which PP and CS arrived "in extremis" the day of the investiture and that show that the so promised regeneration to which the leader of Citizens always alludes consists in having absolutely unjustified retributions and that Cehegín passes, of having only one Mayor, to have, de facto, two with their corresponding salaries.

During the plenary the spokespersons of the PP and Citizens, have tried to justify the salary increase arguing that the new Government Team will not hire trusted personnel, unlike our previous Socialist Government Team that hired a person to perform the functions of Secretary of Town hall.

This decision criticized from the socialist bloc, it will cause a significant decline in the quality of services cehegineros and cehegineras, as the position of Secretary seems to be occupied by staff who had been performing their functions, among others, in Single Window.

In any case, from the PSOE Cehegín want to say that if, as they say PP and Citizens, so concerned about the municipal coffers, could have saved that money and not add to their salaries.

To conclude, from the PSOE of Cehegín we consider these issues as a very bad start of the new government team PP-CS, which on the one hand put the cry in the sky for the economic situation of the City, a well-known situation due to the management of the PP, and on the other, they have no qualms about raising their salaries unjustifiably by 37%, more than 30,000 euros per year.
